How to Make Money as a Health Coach [Part 1]

Author's Perspective: Health coaching is an excellent way for you to help people and make some money at the same time. In fact, health coaching is becoming a lucrative, growing business in the world of Alternative Medicine as more and more people want help and advice beyond the drug-focused advice from their doctors.

Unfortunately, although health coaching is growing, most people in this industry are not making that much money. This is also true for other similar healthcare professionals, including: nutritionists, dietitians, diabetes educators, wellness consultants, health advocates, chiropractors, and people involved in the MLM business.

However, because of the success of my book, workshops and several other products, I have been able to help people involved with health coaching with my Death to Diabetes® Health Coaching Program.

During my journey, I have discovered that there are 3 major areas that you need to learn about if you want to become a successful health coach, grow your business, and be seen as an expert in your field of expertise:

1. Nutritional Science: The technical side of food, nutrition, and wellness: If you have the proper skill set and understand disease pathology like Mr. McCulley, people will respect you and come to you for your advice. But, more importantly, they will pay you for your advice!

2. People: The people/communications side of diabetes, disease and wellness:  You must be able to communicate with your clients, and, more importantly, empathize with them. If you learn how to really "connect" with your clients, they will keep coming back, and referring their friends to you.

3. Business: The business/marketing side of the health & wellness industry: You must understand how to market your skills so that you can develop a lucrative business.  The Alternative Medicine market is a multi-billion dollar business, but more than 92% of the people in this business make very little money!
